Mission and Goals

"We create coheasion, we design change, and we realize innovation through interdisciplinary top-level research in an international network. Through this, we aim at contributing to responsible acting in business and society."

The Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center of the Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg aims at contributing to responsible leadership in business and society. It has the key purpose to foster current thinking within an international context in the areas of “Creating Cohesion – Designing Change – Realizing Innovation” – a top-level research focus of the University. The Center grants research fellowships at the School of Business and Economics for outstanding scholars on an annual basis.

The mission of the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society is to perform innovative top-level research in the fields of business and economics. With the financial support of the Theo and Friedl Schöller Foundation, the Research Center awards up to four Schöller Fellowships each year. The Fellowships are designed to enable scholars of exceptional promise and demonstrated accomplishment to pursue research projects relevant to business and society.

The overall goals of the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center are to break new ground in the areas of “Creating Cohesion – Designing Change – Realizing Innovation”, to create and cultivate an international research network of outstanding scholars, and to establish vibrant research collaborations with local roots and global reach. Ultimately, the Research Center aims to make a lasting contribution to responsible leadership in business and society.

  

Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Senior Fellows

One pillar of the Dr. Theo and Friedl Schöller Research Center for Business and Society is to regularly invite established national researchers as well as international top-level scholars to Nuremberg. Each Fellow is linked to at least one Institute, Center, or Research Field of the School of Business and Economics and shall contribute to its reputation with her/his research

The second pillar of the Research Center is the selective furtherance of promising early career scholars. Post-doctoral researchers and outstanding Ph.D. students in the field of economics get the opportunity to come to Nuremberg and work on focused research projects. Just as the Senior Fellows, they shall contribute to realize the above-mentioned research focus and its international communication.
